RSV stands for respiratory syncytial virus. It is a common virus that affects the nose, throat, and lungs. It is very contagious. Many people think RSV infections only affect infants and children, but older adults are also at high risk for severe RSV infections.

This resource, supported through an unrestricted grant from GSK, provides a better understanding of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) disease burden, symptom similarities with other upper respiratory illnesses, relevance for the 60+ age group, and your role in providing education on the prevention of RSV.
