The annual Disability Equality Index (DEI)--a joint effort between the American Association of People with Disabilities and the U.S. Business Leadership Network--reveals that CVS Health, Walgreens, Meijer, and Walmart are listed as a "Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion." The DEI takes measure of essential performance indicators across a number of categories, including leadership, accessibility, community engagement, and supplier diversity. "At CVS Health, we are focused on breaking down the employment barriers that individuals with disabilities face," said CVS Health executive vice president and chief human resources officer Lisa Bisaccia. "We believe our colleagues and customers, of all abilities, are what help our company and the communities we serve grow and thrive." Walgreens Boots Alliance vice president and global chief diversity officer Carlos Cubia added, "It's an honor to be acknowledged by the Disability Equality Index for our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce that aligns with our purpose to champion the health and well-being of every community in America."
