Cigna CEO reaffirms merger with Express Scripts

Cigna reported second quarter net income of $955 million, up from $750 million a year ago. Revenues rose 10%, to $11.5 billion in the second quarter, while operating revenues were up 12% compared with the year-ago quarter. In addition, Cigna's customer base rose by nearly 330,000 customers to 16.2 million, the company said. The merger with Express Scripts was announced in March.
