Apotex recalls fluticasone propionate nasal spray

Apotex is recalling one lot of fluticasone propionate nasal spray, USP, 50 mcg per spray, 120 metered sprays, that has been found to contain small glass particles. The issue was discovered after a customer complaint; however, no related adverse events have been reported thus far.

The issue was discovered after a customer complaint; however, no related adverse events have been reported thus far. The nasal spray is indicated for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and for the management of sinus pain and pressure associated with allergic rhinitis in patients aged 4–17 years. Apotex is cautioning patients, wholesalers, retailers, hospitals, and institutions with lot# NJ4501 and an expiration date of July 2020 to discontinue use and distribution of the remaining units.
