The Pharmacy Technician’s Pocket Drug Reference

Contains the five main pieces of drug information that a pharmacy technician seeks. Become a PTCB® CPhT

The CPhT is the gold standard of credentialing for pharmacy technicians. PTCB® offers the CPhT certification to individuals who wish to distinguish themselves in the pharmacy technician field. PTCB’s certification program enables technicians to work more effectively with pharmacists to offer safe and effective patient care and service. Most employers prefer, and many require, that their pharmacy technicians be CPhTs.

APhA CPhT Continuing Education

CPhTs must complete a minimum of twenty (20) hours of continuing education (CE) during each two (2) year recertification cycle. Any CE hours earned after January 1, 2015 must be in pharmacy technician-specific subject matter. Complete requirements are located on PTCB’s web site.  APhA has the education options to fulfill your individual needs.
