Arkansas pharmacy keeps COVID-19 patients out of hospitals with monoclonal antibody therapy

But when he went to the local emergency department (ED) on a Friday evening, they turned him away because they didn’t have any more beds. CDC releases guidance on caring for ‘COVID long-haulers’

Thousands of patients have reported experiencing a wide range of physical and mental health consequences that persist after a COVID-19 infection. Patients with post-COVID-19 conditions, sometimes referred to as “COVID long-haulers,” often experience issues four or more weeks after being infected with the virus. Many of these patients routinely seek medical treatment for relief of their symptoms.

As health care providers know, overuse of antibiotics is associated with a host of problems—from intestinal infections and other adverse effects to the development of resistant strains of bacteria. However, “delayed prescribing” promises to temper this trend.
