APhA welcomes their 2025–2026 Executive Postgraduate Training cohort

WASHINGTON, DC—The American Pharmacists Association announced today that its 2025–2026 Executive Postgraduate Training cohort has been selected.

The APhA Executive Postgraduate Training Program was designed to provide pharmacists with training and experience in the fundamentals of association management in order to support APhA’s vision, mission, and brand identity as the leading professional organization representing pharmacists in all practice settings.

During the program year, the fellows contribute to APhA’s strategic priorities and operations through collaborations with staff teams across the organization. The year-long fellowship begins in June.

The members of the 2025–2026 APhA Executive Postgraduate Training Program cohort are:

  • Ayobomi Adefioye, PharmD, PGY1 resident at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH, and 2024 graduate of Cedarville University School of Pharmacy in Cedarville, OH. Adefioye will serve as an advanced fellow in APhA’s education department.
  • Brian Cottingim from Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Indianapolis, IN. Cottingim will serve in APhA’s professional affairs and government affairs department.
  • Nicole Sandoval from University of Florida College of Pharmacy in Gainesville, FL. Sandoval will serve as the APhA Foundation executive fellow in association management and leadership.
  • Kaitlyn Valentino from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA. Valentino will serve in APhA’s education department.
  • Emily Weyenberg from University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in Iowa City, IA. Weyenberg will serve with the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.

The application period for the next class of fellows will open in the fall of 2025.
